Restock - Kombucha and Ginger

310 ginger bread men and 4.5 litres of mixed berry kombucha - Stocking up for the weekend.

It was very difficult to put the gingerbread men into the bags without treating myself to some.. though I guess you can consider that quality control ;)

Yield: 14 300ml bottles of kombucha, 25 bags of gingerbread men (12 per bag)

Rolo cookies - first official sales batch!

 

Tesco really dun goof'd when they discontinued their Rolo cookie option. I found a recipe (which seems to have needed to be tweaked - the dough was ridiculously oily) and made a batch of 21 giant cookies - and they were a hit! The entire batch (what wasn't already devoured) sold out!

My first official pitch of home-brewed kombucha and pies!

It's very easy to overlook some steps that seem minor but are actually very significant when it comes to written records. The first batch was small, with only 10 bottles of kombucha and three pies, but at least the recipes are set in stone.

A challenge and a test

My first time trying to apply an even coat of icing. Proper icing tools DEFINITELY help, but I still need to train my hand to be more gentle. The decorations are fun little cheap molds from Wish. Happy that the rose molds didn't crack!

Testing out chocolate cake with... chocolate chips!

Sandwiched with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream; coated in the same buttercream and chocolate ganache. Topped with beaten custard cream biscuit and dark chocolate shapes.
